Full Time Cellar Person

Stellwagen Beer Company is a locally owned and operated craft brewery in Marshfield, MA, on the South Shore of Massachusetts - just a short drive from Boston and Cape Cod.

Stellwagen Beer Company is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Cellar Person. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of our beer by performing a variety of tasks related to the production and packaging of our brews. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and generous benefits, including health insurance and paid time off.

DUTIES

  • Maintaining a clean, safe environment.

  • Keg cleaning & filling.

  • Canning line operation: packing off, palletizing cases, date coder, depall, etc.

  • Performing routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Cleaning & sanitizing all packaging and production equipment.

  • Adhering to all production SOPs & PPE requirements.

  • Performing cellar activities: transfers, dry hops, harvest yeast, etc.

  • Raw materials inventory/handling/processing

  • Record Keeping, concisely and accurately using brewing software

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES

  • 1+ years of experience operating a canning line. (Preferred not required)

  • 1+ years of cellar experience. (Preferred not required)

  • A strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.

  • Proactive mentality and takes initiative to solve problems.

  • Must be minimum 21 years of age.

  • Ability to think critically, follow directions and communicate with others.

  • Self starter and motivated towards learning and professional growth within the industry.

  • Ability to twist, kneel, bend and work in a loud & wet environment.

  • Ability to lift items up to 55lbs, moving up to 165lbs and climbing ladders repetitively during shift.

  • Handling concentrated and diluted chemicals in accordance with SOPs & PPE requirements.

  • Flexibility in work hours, normally 7:45am to 4:00pm. But may require occasional mid shifts for double brew days and occasional weekend work.

  • Experience operating centrifuge is a bonus
